Scavenger Hunt 🌹
This is a great activity for one person or for groups, so let your friends know about it! Players discover unique/ special/iconic NY street tags done by unknown authors, hidden in plain view & eventually outline two routes on the map (Route A & Route B).
Click here to open Team A Clues & Findings in magazine format via YouTube links. This file contains many photos, so, look at it as a coffee table book with lots of pictures. Click on the Team A cover to open the same material in a different format; YouTube version recommended.
The following applies to both teams -> Due to the large number of photographs, one could browse through the hunt (& understand the story) from the comfort of their home by just reading the clues and looking at the images. (You will need up to one hour to go over it.)
Find details about how to play the game in person in the attached files and don’t go past the introduction if you plan to explore the streets, or you’ll ruin the surprise! In fact, reading the introduction beforehand is a good idea, so you know what to expect & where exactly does the hunt start (walking distance from Flushing stop on the JMZ line). First 10 pages are identical for both teams & so are the last 15 (containing images).
Depending on your pace, you will be done in two to three hours (less when you do it as a tour; more if you do it as a hunt), and you can always take your time if your schedule allows; stop for a snack or a coffee (& remember to bring a travel mug & refillable water bottle if you have them)!
Attention! Save your energy for the hunt, so don’t walk miles prior to it; instead, take a train or a bus to the starting point.
In case you read the whole material, but you still want to go on the route, feel free to do so & treat it as a tour. Most likely you won’t remember all the details, so it is safe to say that you will still be able to play the scavenger hunt & have fun!
Useful tip -> Have your phones charged & your walking shoes on.
Click here to open Team B Clues & Findings in magazine format, via YouTube links. Team B contains many images, so look at it as a coffee table book with lots of pictures. When you click on the following cover you’ll open the same Team B, yet in a different format. (Choose which one suits you better, however, the one playing in YouTube is recommended/ more clear.)
HOW TO REDEEM A FOLDABLE TOTE BAG WHEN YOU GO ON THE HUNT IN PERSON
Take a few photos while on the route. They don’t have to be explicit & show your findings in detail.
Post the photos on social media (Instagram preferred).
So we know that you were on the hunt, please tag:
- @WeAreAtlas238 (the hunt)
- Gift pick-up location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, TBD.
Send a message on Instagram to @WeAreAtlas238 (preferred) or an email (Look@WeAreAtlas238.com) to find a good moment for gift pick-up.
And then… get the bag! Attach it to your purse, backpack or belt area right away & please, make a wish that is worth it once the bag is on; also when you use it for the first time. Never waste a chance to make a good wish 😉
This bag is so light & easy to carry around, that you will even forget that you have it on you… of course, until the moment you need one! Indeed, foldable tote bags are a simple cure to a huge problem – the disposable plastic bags… Thank you!
